Al Baha means a large area and the spacious area. AL Baha region is located in the south west of Saudi Arabia in the mountains area , extends down to the coast which characterized it  with a very beautiful weather in summer and winter . The length from the west to the east is 300 km . The width  from the south to the north is 183 km with a total area of 36.000 km. AL Baha is generally divided into main sectors, separated by a large cliff. To the west, lies the costal plain which known as Tihama and to the east, a part of mountains known as AL Sarah. The region is within a phenomenon of mountains and costal plains topography where the earth crusts vary by the difference in elevations at the sea level.
